The electronic In-Bond Program allows an authorized Agent to create a Customs Form 7512 with the added benefit of electronically transmitting the information to the CBP. Customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, importers, foreign trade zone operators, and others, can take advantage of this expedited method of creating In-Bond transactions.
A percentage of cargo that arrives from foreign sources needs to transit our country under a bond. Cargo may be transiting our country with an ultimate foreign destination, moving across our borders with an ultimate destination of a U.S. Foreign Trade Zone, or transiting its first U.S. port of entry for an ultimate U.S. interior destination where formal Customs clearance procedures will be performed. All of these different cargo types may be transmitted electronically via the In-Bond Program. Warehouse Withdrawal type of 7512 Forms may also be executed from the software and area able to keep track of balances after withdrawals are done.
